I recently finished this leather corset.
It is made out of lambskin, with a coutil strenght layer and cotton lining. I handfinished the corsets binding. It has a total of 26 steel bones, and lots of grommets.
Working wit the lambskin was a challenge. It stretches. So I stitched it to the coutil before I assembled the corset.. I did use special leather needles, but I used normal yarn. I was thinking about using the super strong thick yarn, but after testing I decided that the normal yarn was strong enough and looked smoother.
The scalemaille is sewn on by hand.
